Frederickseal’s Unifoil Flat Glass Gasket from premium flexible (expanded) graphite and designed specifically for flat glass systems, such as sight glass assemblies, level gauges, and high-temperature viewing windows.
Our Unifoil flat glass gasket is a precision-cut sealing gasket fabricated from high-purity expanded graphite sheet. It is engineered to provide a reliable, high-temperature, and chemically resistant seal in flat glass applications.
The gasket exhibits excellent compressibility and recovery, allowing it to conform to surface irregularities and maintain tight sealing even under thermal cycling, vibration, and pressure fluctuations. Unifoil is inherently resistant to thermal shock and oxidation, making the gasket suitable for extreme service environments.
Unifoil is 98–99% pure flexible graphite
Temperature Resistance: Typically up to 930°F in oxidizing environments, and above 5000°F in non-oxidizing atmospheres.
Chemical Compatibility: Resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and steam
Compression & Recovery: High compressibility for effective sealing of glass-to-metal or glass-to-glass interfaces
Leak Tightness: Provides uniform sealing pressure without damaging the flat glass
